PRELUDE

image18

The disaporic and allegorical lineage of India, structures small and large and their innumerable manifestations inspire Formsurface. The label sets out to explore orthodox crafts and experimental practices under one parasol.

image19

It is characterised by the abstraction and deliberation of simple geometry coalesced into native references. Every piece is designed to augment its elemental quality and deliberate the extent of forms and surface finishes.

Components form the core ethos of Formsurface and with that emphasis it aspires to build an engaging body of work.

She exerts a comprehensible approach to design and  contrives in dichotomous processes, probes into the orthodox and contemporary which makes for exciting outcomes. Plying with a simple approach to design Poornima has attempted to elevate the prepossessing characteristics of a process/technique through her aesthetics to aid in creating bijou pieces.
